Griffins
What is a Griffin?
A griffin or gryphon is a mythical quadruped that has the head of an eagle and the body of a lion.
Griffin's forebodies and heads resemble very large and graceful eagles. The ears are pointed and the feathers long and usually golden brown.
As you see in the picture above, feathers grow from the waist up and the bottom half consists of lion fur and tail.
The griffin also has long, broad wings which allow the large animal to fly.
Griffins half large talons which are said to be the size of a cow's horn, making the beast the size of medium dragon. They are enormous.
Feathers grew upon its head, neck and chest and the rest of the griffin’s body was covered in leonine fur, subtly colored in shades of tawny brown.
Gryphons have nests that are made of gold where they leave protect eggs which resemble agates.
Some variations of Griffin's Include;
* Snake-Griffin with a lion’s body and a snake head, but a bird’s legs;
* Lion-Griffin has lion features but the bottom is that of a bird.
* Hippogryph, has the head, wings and front legs of a gryphon, and the back and hind legs of a horse.Hippogryphs in legends of legends of Charlemagne as mounts.
Griffins have the great vision and speed of an eagle and the strength, honor, and courage of a lion.
